Meagan is a member of the West Bloomfield Parks Leadership Team and oversees the Recreation Division, where she helps shape the department’s vision and strategy for recreation, marketing and community events. She also provides leadership for the nature education and programming teams. Her favorite part of the job is creating programs, events and experiences that bring people together and help them feel connected to their community.
Meagan joined WB Parks in 2013 after earning her Master of Public Administration from Wayne State University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Integrative Public Relations from Central Michigan University.
Outside of work, Meagan stays busy gardening, volunteering and exploring new places with her husband and two children. She serves on the boards of Hospitality House Food Pantry and the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and is passionate about finding ways to support the communities she serves.
Favorite thing about nature:
In my mind, nature is wellness. Nothing can turn around a bad day better than a walk outside, taking in the beauty of a sunset or simply breathing in fresh air.
