Discover the wonders of the small things in nature! This self-guided program invites children and families to slow down, explore and connect with the tiny details that make our natural world so special. Nature Staff will be present to answer questions and make sure the program runs smoothly. Located at Marshbank Park’s Lodge building, right next to the large play structure, it’s the perfect stop for curiosity and community. Please note: this program runs on select Mondays.

Families can enjoy simple nature-themed activities, hands-on exploration and make both indoor and outdoor discoveries at their own pace. Designed for all ages, Monday Micro-Nature Moments celebrates observation, wonder and appreciation for the small stuff that often goes unnoticed. This program highlights “micro-nature” themes such as mosses, fungi, leaf patterns, insects, pond critters, animal tracks, flowers and much more.
